Your practitioner will assess your face and the proportions of the face which usually adhere to the golden rule of Phi which is 1.16. However, keeping in mind that everyone is an individual, although we acknowledge this concept we also use our aesthetic eye to assess deficient areas.
With age the chin can retrude, so filler can be used to increase the protrusion of the chin or lengthen the chin so it is more proportional with the rest of the face.

Your practitioner will also review whether there s a lack of definition of your jaw. With age, the distinction between jaw and neck can become blurry.

The treatment aims to address the jawline directly or surrounding areas.

Just above the jawline, there can be some wasting just below the cheeks, which is particularly noticed with weight loss or age. In this scenario, you may require a biostimulator which stimulates collagen and improves the skin texture in this area and the support of the area to the jawline.
