Treatment Process
Given the nature of what is being addressed ie fat cells or adipocytes, most treatments can be associated with pain. Therefore there are options of pain relief. It is important to advise of any allergies so the modality of pain relief can be appropriately selected.
Post Treatment And After Care
The main aim is to address the adipocyte and to break the membrane. Therefore this can result in significant swelling in the short term there is moderate pain which is best approached with over the counter pain relief. There is redness and swelling. The most obvious of these is ongoing swelling. The presence of swelling is no need for alarm. In fact the presence of swelling is a sign that the fat cells have been disrupted. However if it persists for longer than anticipated it should be investigated.

It is important to realise that around the face there are a number of nerves and vessels that can be impacted and therefore there are limitations to the treatment. Additionally some body areas respond better than others. When attempting to address these issues, there is always a possibility of asymmetry.
How Long Does It Last
In general where the adipocyte is being targeted the treatment can be permanent. However we are provided with a number of adipocytes which do not really increase in number. It is important to maintain a health diet and exercise. If this is not maintained, the remaining adipocytes can become larger and you can end back to where you started.
Other Treatment Options
This is best discussed during a consultation. It is important to realise that results may vary between individuals.
